70’s Revival

Get your retro spirit on this summer with a full-fledged 70’s-inspired look. The nostalgic trend is back stronger than ever, this time with a modern minimalist twist. “The 70’s theme has always been a favorite among big fashion names like Prada, Gucci, Isabel Marant. Its compilations of long-hemmed skirts, high-waisted flared jeans, long, flowing dresses and summer suede are continuously revisited and revamped,” Sadek explained.

Fringe Factor

Summer 2015 comes with a laid-back bohemian feel, mostly reflected in tablecloth prints and fringed clothing. “Seen on the catwalks of Giambattista Valli, Sonya Rykiel and Proenza Schouler, the fringe theme is a very versatile one,” Sadek told Beirut.com. “You can wear them on your shirt, dress, skirt, shoes, bags… They are also suitable for any occasion, beach day or formal dinner, a true passe-par-tout.”

Denim For Days

Denim made a strong comeback on the runways, with the full-denim look being a staple of many of this year’s fashion shows. “Wearing denim has been around since cotton was introduced to fashion. A basic necessity, jeans have always been played around with, but this year, complimenting the 70s theme, full-denim looks (dresses, shirt-pants combo) were seen the most on the catwalks of the likes of Bottega Venetta, Gucci and Giamba,” Sadek noted.

Delicate Lace

Lace may be a tricky fabric to mix and match but its delicacy and poise were tremendously appealing to designers this summer. “Lace is usually used as a material to portray fragility and lightness, and this is exactly what was seen on this season’s runways. Chloe, Valentino, and Givenchy are a few of the many to master the delicacy of lace; white lace is especially trendy,” Sadek explained.

Metallic Mania

Give your look an edgy spark this season by incorporating metallic fabrics into your wardrobe. “The perfect mix for this summer? A tan and a metallic outfit, and brands like DKNY, Giles and Genny can you give you an idea of how to pair the two,” Sadek told Beirut.com. “The shine of your clothes and your skin will surely bring the spotlight on you!”
