Tarek Abdallah at T-Marbouta

T-marbouta is happy to present the musician and musicologist Tarek Abdallah, lecturing about the evolution of the solo Egyptian ‘Ud with the creation of the record disk.

The activity will include audio and visual examples along with a music performance.

About Tarek Abdallah
Tarek Abdallah is an Egyptian composer, lutenist and musicologist from Alexandria, born in 1975. He draws inspiration from the golden age of the art of Egyptian ‘Ud solo (1910-1930), which is at the center of his musicological research and PhD studies in the University of Lyon II
