Plan Bey decided to give this out-of-print project by Chérine Yazbeck another life through three different series of limited edition prints: a vertical print featuring 72 pictures of her peregrinations through Beirut city shot between 1991 and 1996; a triptych of the Orient building; and an emblematic picture of the Orient building in color.

20-year-old Chérine Yazbeck returned from exile in the aftermath of the civil war, to discover a torn, bruised, destroyed Beirut. Wandering around with her camera, she settles her accounts with the overwhelming fascination the city operates on a young photographer. Chérine started practicing automatic photography. 20 years later, she digs out her negatives for a second settlement of accounts, this time with the collective amnesia of Beirut and its dwellers.
