By day, he is the marketing event coordinator at Beit Misk; and in his free time, he manages to school Lebanese people on everything from wedding etiquette to kale and quinoa. Issam Merheb is a character, which should be no surprise to anyone who knows his star-studded lineage.
Issam, affectionately known as SiMi, is the son of popular dabkeh dancer, choreographer, and houwwara singer Alain Merheb and dancer/choreographer Nay Lahoud. It’s no wonder Issam has a theatrical flair, it runs in the family.
Recently, he has taken it upon himself to school us on different matters in short videos he calls velfies (video-selfies.)
One of his first videos took a shot at the new traffic law, describing how stringent the law is all the while using his cell phone in the car.

Another one of his videos hilariously summed up the Lebanese obsession with yoga and all things holistic, and put all those yogis in their place.
