Painting Workshop Conducted By Semaan Khawam at Mishkal Festival 2015

Mishkal is an open platform for all artists to display and showcase their achievements, and your chance to experiment with new ideas.

In this workshop, attendees will learn to paint expressively and apply new discoveries to the art of photography by creating rich, varied backgrounds for digital images. When we paint expressively, we access the most immediate and direct links to our creative selves.

By understanding how different medias work together, we learn which processes are the most effective in discovering our creative voice. We explore transfers, gluing techniques, painting techniques, surfaces, supports, media compatibility, and the use of paint.
