Platform 39 have the pleasure to host Chef Julian Cincotta from Sydney for a One off pop up dinner around our friendly communal table. Come meet Julian while enjoying and sharing his “Take on the Mediterranean and Middle Eastern Cuisine”.

Upon winning Australia’s most prestigious young chef award – the Josephine Pignolet Young Chef of the Year 2015 -, Julian has been given the opportunity to travel the world to seek out cuisines and cooking techniques in order to develop his career in the culinary industry. In the last few months he has been to Honk Kong, Japan, Spain, Turkey … and happens to be staying in Beirut for a few days!

Being surrounded by an Italian descent family working in the hospitality industry and having a notable love for food, Julian interest in food started at an early age. Since his graduation in culinary studies he has been working and running some of the worlds best kitchens in Australia and the United States (“Rockpool” – 3 Hats, “NoMad” – 1 Hat, “Alinea” – 3 Stars). Nowadays he runs the kitchen of the “Thievery” (Sydney) a new Middle Eastern neighborhood bar and has got many great reviews for his take on the Mediterranean and Middle Eastern Food

Julian’s love of fresh products – from paddock to plate – and the forgotten skills of the kitchen shows in his approach to food. Upon his arrival to Lebanon he will be touring the city and the country seeking inspiration and products…. Therefore the Menu will be more of a surprise to all of us!!!!! ☺.
