Traces of Absence – Dance Performance
Can poems manifest as movement and visuals? Contemplations, memories and words, are no more than a gesture of the body, fleeting sounds and passing images
In the performance movement, moments, and time lost, observations of life within time, are distillations or isolation of moments or continuities
The body sculpts within space a time. Using rhythm, we attempt to grasp the imperceptible within movement’s continuum. Extreme variances in speed put present perception into relation with its immediate past, moments dissolve into emptiness. Absence is reconstituted with traces of memory
