7:30pm -> 9:30pm
LifeInspired

A series of 4 classes to learn how to use yoga principles and tools to manage chronic and/or occasional stress. A gentle flow that will lead you through asana (postures), pranayama (breath work) and playful meditation towards mindful understanding of stress patterns and how to release them.

The Body
The first week is about observing and learning how tension manifests itself as stress in the physical body. Through a progression of sequences and exercises we will explore ways to understand the body’s messages and create a relaxation response instead of the build up of Stress.

The Breath
The second week’s focus is the breath. We learn how our breath promotes a stress or a relaxation response in the body. We will practice some challenging sequences (all levels) to understand how to manage our breath to better manage our stress.

The Mind
The third week is all about the mind. Simple yet challenging sequences (all levels) will take us deeper into the observation of the mind. What does our mind’s chatter tell us about how we manage our stress? We will practice meditation through movement and stillness.

The Heart
Understanding how stress manifests itself through the body, the breath and the mind leads us to the Heart. The 4th week reveals the true manager of stress, our loving, caring, playful heart. The heart knows what the body needs to be calm and relaxed. A playful & heartfelt practice will allow us to put our knowledge into action, through strong intention.
