Mohannad Nasser Trio

Radio Beirut are pleased to announce the debut performance on their stage of the Mohanad Nasser Trio featuring Mohannad Nasser on Oud, Christopher Ibrahim on Piano and Vocals and Rami al Jundi on Percussion. The trio play their own original Oriental-Jazz music with some well-known Arab Jazz covers thrown into the mix too.

Mohannad Nasser is a graduate from the High Institute of Music in Damascus. He won three prices at international oud competitions and did many workshops with famous oud players around the world.

Christopher Ibrahim studied jazz piano in New Jersey and New York at the New School for Jazz Studies. After some time touring with indie rock bands such as The Bronze Episode and Soft Black he moved to Lebanon to work on music education and psycho-social projects with Palestinian and Syrian refugees.
