Screenwriting 2: Creative Track Program

About the program
The FADE IN: creative track program is the beginning of your creative lifestyle. It’s a track that will lead you to success in the world of screenwriting with huge results for your creativity. Screenwriting I is the first step on the creative track, however, we accept writers into Screenwriting II with prior experience and a writing sample. This class is not for beginners, rather, it is an opportunity for writers to commit to their work and focus on a feature-length scripts or a series of shorts with targeted goals to help them finish. Eventually, writers on the track will have the opportunity to train with screenwriter and founder, Nadia Tabbara, as elite screenwriters in the field.

Screenwriting 2 is the next step in FADE IN:’s creative track program and is not intended for beginners. The pre-requisite for this course is Screenwriting 1, however, FADE IN: accept writers with prior experience in writing for movies or TV (with a submitted writing sample).

Screenwriting II is a six-month commitment where writers will be working on creating engaging feature-film scripts or a series of shorts. With a mixture of lecture and creative-centered feedback, this class is an opportunity to delve deep into the art of writing scripts and commit to finishing projects. Writers in the class will have goals that they must meet and support from their peers as well as the writing instructors at FADE IN:

The class with screenwriter Jad el Khoury, will be taught in English and Arabic. Writing must be in English (although dialogue will be Arabic if it’s set in an Arab country) French speakers, please call us to discuss language further.

Goals for writers:
– To produce a first draft of the project the students commit to
– To learn how to critically analyze screenplays
– To learn and practice the tools of screenwriting to continue to write better stories.

After completing their first draft, writers will have the opportunity to renew their classes in order to continue to write or, they will be eligible to have a full consultation with screenwriter and founder, Nadia Tabbara as well as a 4-session master’s class to learn pitching and competing with your scripts.

a refundable down-payment is required in each three-month cycle.
