5 Side Dishes You Need On Your Christmas Dinner Table

Something almost everyone seems to agree about is that Christmas is about family, love, and food. Nothing beats celebrating the holiday season with a decadent meal and some good company. With the holiday season near, we bring you: 5 side dishes you must have at your Christmas table this year.

1. Roasted vegetables.

It’s staple on most dinner tables because it complements the main dish so well, whether it’s turkey, ham, or any type of meat. It’s really simple to make too. Just cut up some sweet potatoes, carrots, onions, and mushrooms, season them with salt and pepper, add some olive oil, and roast them in the oven until they’re all cooked.

2. Baked mac & cheese.

Cheese + macaroni = unbeatable combination. You can make a gourmet dish yourself with some fancy cheeses to elevate the dish or you can pick up a trusty Kraft box and have the whole thing take you ten minutes to prepare.

3. Fried shrimp and calamari rings.

Is this a normal side dish for Christmas or is it just my family that does this? Fried shrimp and calamari rings are great starters and they’re pretty light (compared to everything else on the table) so you can still fill up on everything else.

4. Spinach and artichoke dip.

This one takes a bit more effort than the rest but Martha Stewart has a great recipe. It’s great for dipping crudité, baguette slices, or chips in.

5. Cheesy garlic bread.

Because you can’t go wrong with another cheese and starch combo.
