Where To Get An Amazing Cup Of Hot Chocolate In Beirut

Artisanal Hot Chocolate is making a comeback, and Caffe Gianni is the best new place to enjoy a delicious cup of rich hot chocolate.

It’s only been open for a couple of months, but Caffe Gianni has already generated buzz about the seriously satisfying and decadent hot chocolate they offer.

Sitting in the sun-filled interior, you would forget that you are in ABC Achrafieh. With its teal-blue walls and wood-paneled furniture, you kind of get a modern spin on the elegance of fine dining of the 1960s. The Frank Sinatra song “Fly Me To The Moon” playing in the background adds to this old-school ambience.

Speaking of Frank, the hot chocolate has a certain machismo to it: not too sweet but super strong. You can easily imagine the likes of Frank Sinatra or one of his contemporaries enjoying a cup of cocoa when they are not busy ordering martinis. It tastes like melty rich decadent chocolate with a kick.

While I wouldn’t recommend drinking it after a heavy meal since it very rich and calorie-laden, it makes the perfect soothing snack during winter. The hot chocolate comes with two mini almond biscotti—with a deliciously bitter taste that complements the drink really well.

Priced at 8,500 LL, it is the perfect drink to warm up a cold winter day!
