About DJ Doca
Dj Doca was born in the 70 in Curitiba, Paraná, Brazil, in a world bathed in music. By the early 80s, Doca accompanies the work of his father, a great figure of the medium of radio in the country. When he was just 8 years old, he participated for the first time in a live broadcast. Teenager, he began to participate in various radio productions coordinated by his father and deepened in parallel knowledge of Brazilian popular music by working as a DJ for several radio and buzzer as in plays and radio series. In the early 90s, Doca began his real career as a DJ in clubs and festivals in Curitiba. In 1997, finally, he settled in Switzerland, to discover the old continent and enrich its cultural range of new influences. The confrontation with European culture also allows him to hone his style. He founded his Alternativo Brasil project. Dj Doca works as a chameleon, adapting to the atmosphere and gliding from one style to another, managing to make a choice always pertinentdans the immensity of the Brazilian musical production.
In Switzerland, Doca was the guest of major annual events, among which are the Montreux Jazz Festival in the frames of Brazilian evenings are organized with international artists from the 70s, the Cully Jazz Festival, film Festival of Fribourg, the Paleo Festival in Nyon; Label RSR Switzerland; the Garden Party of the University of Geneva, the Mapping Festival or the Festival of Music. Doca working more with major nightclubs and concert halls, such as the Black Cat (Geneva), Zoo (Geneva), the PTR / KAB (Geneva), the Usine (Nyon), Fri-its (Fribourg ), Cactus (Nendaz), the Rote Fabrick (Zurich) and the bikini is (La Chaux-de-Fonds).
