Breakcore a Gogo – Yukunkun

This will be the first of many events that we will be hosting in the hopes of providing Beirut again with alternate sonic sprees so that the partying palette would expand.

In its first edition Breakcore a gogo,is glad to host its first international act “Gabber kick drum massacre” aka Duran Duran Duran
Gracing the decks with his heavy samples of deformed pop.

Duran Duran Duran
Raised in the Philadelphia ghetto on a mix of freestyle and death metal, Ed Flis started experimenting with electronic beats in 1995 on his parents’ Macintosh LC II. In 1999 he fell in with local rave crews 215noise and Low Viz Sound system and began throwing hardcore parties. In 2005 he released his first full-length album release as Duran Duran Duran on Very Friendly records “Very Pleasure”. After touring heavily his sound began to morph from cut up noise and distorted pop samples into high octane fisting rave. He moved to Berlin in 2008 and completed his second album “Over Hard” for the Cockrockdisco label, an ecstasy-fueled mix of acid stabs, mangled bass beats and recorded found sounds. He’s now currently working on his third album for the UK label Power Vacuum, due out in fall of 2016.
