Human Planet: EP2/Deserts & EP3/Arctic

Tuesday, Jun 14, 2016
8:00pm -> 10:00pm
Minus 1

After shedding the light on how human beings adapted to live in the harshest conditions around and in the oceans, we’re shifting focus towards the hot deserts and the freezing arctic in a special 2 episode screening.

Join us on Tuesday June 14 at 8pm and learn more about how humans have built a life for themselves in the harshest places on earth as we tackle two very similar but paradoxical places, the barren deserts of the Sahara and the great freeze of the Arctic.

Topics include: cattle herders racing African elephants to Lake Banzena for scarce water resources in Mali; Inuit hunting Greenland sharks as food for their huskies; using a neap tide to gather mussels under sea ice in North-eastern Canada and much more!

There will be a 10-minutes break between the two screenings.
