‘How Do You Move?’ Workshop

From Jul 19 to Jul 21, 2016
4:00pm -> 6:30pm
Beirut Art Center

How Do You Move by Alia Hamdan is the third installment in the dance workshop series initiated after Xavier Le Roy’s Retrospective, and the first addressed to children aged between 7 and 13. How Do You Move draws on your own physical and social experience of movement and aims at expanding your moving abilities. A series of playful Q&A will be the starting point to a reflection on the way you move and perform in your daily life and on social occasions: at home, at school, at a party! You will answer using movement/show and speech/though, paving the way to choreographies and performances. No previous dance experience is required; join us for three dynamic and fun afternoons where your physical awareness and pleasure of movement will be raised to new levels! Please wear comfortable city clothes, t-shirts, pants, socks and shoes. You might want to bring a pullover if you’re sensitive to A/C. The more comfortable you are, the more fun it will be!
