The Lebanese Arabic Institute offers high quality instruction in colloquial Lebanese Arabic and Modern Standard Arabic for non-native speakers. Their clients include journalists, academics, diplomats, NGO personnel, university students, people of Lebanese and Arab origin and others who are interested in Arabic language and culture.

At the heart of the Institute is their program in Lebanese Arabic, which is rooted in an innovative series of textbooks, entitled Lebanese Arabic from Scratch: A Course for Non-Native Speakers. Blending practical and theoretical approaches, they have designed these textbooks to equip students with relevant skills for everyday communication in the Lebanese dialect, as well as providing them with a solid understanding of the underlying grammatical structures connecting this language to Modern Standard Arabic.
