Meet Some Of The People Who Make Middle East Airlines (MEA) Great
There are few things Lebanese people can agree on. Really, we’ve witnessed major arguments about which shawarma is best. But one fact we can all seem to get behind is that Middle East Airlines is a company that has made us so proud over the last 70+ years.
We’ve all grown accustomed to booking our flights online, boarding, and promptly falling asleep. But what we’re rarely faced with is the sheer number of manpower and human resources it takes for a single flight to depart and land successfully.
We were lucky enough to have been invited behind the scenes, and were able to meet the people who make MEA what it is! Here are just a few of them:
1. Loulou Maroun, Call Center
Loulou has been a part of the MEA team since August 2012.
2. Chadi Aboudaher, Director of Customer Services
Chadi has been a part of the MEA team since January 2011.
3. Rima Mekkaoui, Director of Public Relations
Rima has been a part of the MEA team since 1990.
4. Carol Gemayel, Cabin Crew
Carol has been a part of the MEA team since May 2012, her favorite route is Beirut – London Heathrow.
5. Afaf Lawand, Cabin Crew
Carol has been a part of the MEA team December 2010, her favorite route is also Beirut – London Heathrow.
6. Said Aoun, Simulator Engineer.
Said has been with MEA since October 2015.
7. Badria Meouch, Telecom Engineer.
Badria has been a part of the MEA team since September 2015.
8. Boutros Ayoub, Maintenance Control Center Assistant Manager.
Boutros has been a part of the MEA team since January 25, 1971! (And yes, he recalls the exact date.)
9. Farah Makki, Assistant Head of Cabin Crew.
Farah is also the head of inflight services legacy, and has been been a part of the MEA team since January 19, 2002.
10. Maria Abboud, Superintendent of Public Relations.
Badria has been a part of the MEA team since June 2004.
11. Amira Zaatari, Head of Call Center.
Amira has been a part of the MEA team since February 1975!
12. Sawsan Kaissi, Head of Cedar Miles.
Sawsan has been a part of the MEA team since December 1993.
13. Capt. Marwan El Baff, Technical Manager of Training Center.
Capt. Marwan has been a part of the MEA team since August 28, 1974.
