Yukunkun: Winston Smith

Winston is a Jazz, Soul and Funk lover who has been collecting records for more than 20 years. As a DJ he started in Strasbourg, France as member of the “Funk the Power” DJ crew and also hosted a 100% vinyl music radio show on Radiocapsule.com. In parallel he started Booking Funk-Soul-Boogie … gigs entitled “Shake your Groove Thing!” that have so far welcomed among others, DJ Format, Boca 45, Andy Smith, DJ Cam, Marc Hype or Florian Keller, Dj Suspect or Lord Funk. (Gig #30 is to be held at the end of this month at Fat Black Pussycat)

Most of his time is now dedicated to record digging and Djing, here and there in France and Europe, since he partakes of a new adventure as a member of the Locked Grooves team, whose headquarter is no other than the record shop the team opened about a year ago in Strasbourg.
