Fresh herbs are an integral part of Vietnamese cuisine, and they are the focus of this week’s Vietnamese menu at Makan. Bright coriander stands in delicious contrast to rich pork in Bun Thit Nuong vermicelli noodle salad, and basil complements mango and cucumber in classic Vietnamese summer rolls. Lemongrass, ginger, and chili perfume the vegetable curry and caramelized chicken to come.
