Rima Khcheich in Concert – Launching of ‘Washwishni’

Rima Khcheich is launching her sixth album Washwishni. It includes 15 new songs composed by Rabih Mroué, Rima Khcheich and the Egyptian composer Fouad Abdel Majeed.
In the coming concerts Rima will perform her songs accompanied by her band consisting of Dutch musicians who played on the album: Tony Overwater, Maarten Ornstein, Maarten Van Der Grinten, Ruven Ruppik.
Washwishni was recorded and mixed in Holland (Wisseloord Studios/ Hilversum) and it will be released under the Dutch label “Jazz in Motion”.
The songs talk about issues like love, revolution, war and others. Four songs were written by the contemporary artist Etel Adnan/ adaptation by Rabih Mroué.
