Tour of Lebanon Finale

Sunday, Oct 30, 2016
6:00pm -> 10:00pm
Metropolis Empire Sofil

In collaboration with USAID (United States Agency for International Development) / OTI (Office of Transition Initiatives), we’d love to invite you to the finale of a series of screenings we’ve done together over the last 3 months in remote unpriviliged areas in the country, places that suffer from sectarian tensions.

It has been an incredible learning journey to us as much as the youth groups who watched our film, witnessing the power of sport and football particularly to bring people together, overcoming their religious and cultural differences.

Screenings took place in 7 different locations in the Bekaa and the North of Lebanon as far as Wadi Khalid and Ras Baalbak, where more than 1000 youths participated from the following areas and who we thank tremendously:
Kobbeh, Tabbaneh, Jabal Mohsen, Sahel Akkar, Tal Hayat, Tal Bireh, Wadi Khalid, Saadnayel, Taalbaya, Jlala, Marj, Majdel Anjar, Ras Baalbak, Laboueh, Qaa, Zaytoun, Hermel and Aarsal.

Event includes:
– Screening of ‘Lebanon Wins the World Cup’
– Screening of ‘Lebanon Wins Wins the World Cup – The Tour of Lebanon’, a short film about the tour.
– Q&A / discussion with the filmmakers (Tony ElKhoury and Allen Seif aka OAK) and Hassan Berri (one of the film two protagonists) hosted by journalist Christine Habib.

Free admission.
