Makan’s Peruvian brunch is back by popular demand, featuring old favorites and exciting new dishes.

Back by popular demand, Makan’s resident Peruvian chef Nada Fattouh and her fabulous assistant Shah are preparing another stunner of a brunch this weekend, straight from the Andes. A zesty favorite, whitefish ceviche in lime juice with jalapeño slices, is back on this weekend’s menu. Chef Nada is also serving a tuna steak with mashed potatoes and ají amarillo paste– a pureed pepper condiment that is a hallmark of Peruvian cuisine. The vegetarian option is equally enticing: a black mushroom quinotto, or quinoa risotto. Follow this with empanadas and steak (beef or cauliflower) and your weekend is off to a great start.

– Ceviche
White fish ceviche in lime juice with jalapeño peppers
– Tuna causa rellena
Tuna with mashed potatoes and ají amarillo paste
(Vegetarian option: black mushroom quinotto)
– Empanadas
Stuffed pastry with mushrooms in a green sauce
– Lomo tacu tacu
Steak with red beans and rice
(Vegetarian option: cauliflower steaks)
– Manjar blanco pudding
