Photojournalism Workshop at Dar Al Mussawir

Registration is now open for the Photojournalism Workshop at Dar Al Mussawir with a team of trainers including photojournalist and editor Marwan Naamani

It is open for amateurs and practicing photographers who want to enter the world of professional photojournalism.

The following topics covered by this workshop combine both theoretical and practical training:
1. What is Photojournalism
2. Concept and light
3. Angles and composition
4. Usage of lenses (wide, normal and long lenses)
5. Photoshop: usage and ethics
6. Agencies Vs. Prints , Websites
7. Types of Photojournalism:
o War Photography: Spot news, People in news, Portraits
o Press conference and events
o Sports photography
o Features and reportage
8. Editing and choice of Pictures
9. Image in Social Media, copyrights and ethics.

Training team: including Marwan Naamani, former Photographer and Editor at Agence France Presse where worked for 18 years, covered conflicts in the Middle East (Lebanon, Iraq and Yemen…) .He also covered major sports events starting with London Olympics 2012, Major tennis tournaments, International football games, Handball World Cup, Swimming World Cup and more.
