Aleppan cuisine is back to Makan with this week’s special feast by Qortoba’s chefs.

The Aleppan chefs of Qortoba offer you a meal straight from the old souq. Start with warm lentil soup and muhammara– the chili, walnut, and pomegranate molasses dip famous in Aleppo– followed by djeij tarator, kebbet karaz, featuring the distinctive sweet & sour cherry sauce, and saltet bajnan, with fried aubergine cubes in a pomegranate dressing. The warming flavors of Qortoba’s Aleppo feast make for an unforgettable pre-holiday meal.
