Replacing Statuses And Posts About Syria With Actions

Important note: This is not a political post, the motivation is purely humanitarian and intended to help those who need direction.

Those present on social media platforms have undoubtedly been aware of the worsening conditions for civilians in Syria. This has led to many of us writing statuses and posting pictures on social media in an effort to raise awareness, but it is important to take the next step. One of the main problems with encouraging donations and assistance is that average person might not know which NGOs to help, and even if they do, it is easy to have doubts about where your donation will end up. This inspired a new platform called Shou Baamilak? wherein people can submit NGOs worth listing.

“Shu Baamilak?” is a website that provides crowd sourced and verified listings of the most relevant and reliable NGOs to donate to. Identifying the elements that hold people back from donating will simply make it easier to encourage them to donate.

Here is a list of the most active and reliable local and international NGOs that are actively helping Syrian civilians.
