4 Fun (And Free!) Things To Do In Beirut This Week

Having fun doesn’t always mean dishing out a ton of cash! Here are a few free (and interesting) events happening around Beirut this week. Check them out!


1. Salon d’Automne



What: They’ve gathered artwork from 52 different artists including paintings, videos, installations, and more and exhibited them in one incredible show. Entrance is free, and the exhibitors are really unique this year. They’ve also added the Audience Choice Award, so you’ll be able to vote for your favorite artwork!

When: 10 AM – 8 PM until Feb. 27 (excluding the museums closing days)

2. Free Happy Hour Meditation



What: Ninety minutes of yoga stretches, breathing techniques, and meditation. Go and enjoy a free evening of relaxation, rejuvenation, and energy.

When: Thursday at 7 PM – 8:30 PM

3. Your Stories on Stage



What: An improvisational troupe that takes story suggestions from the audience! This is your chance to hear your stories told on stage by professional actors and musicians. The show is in Arabic but translation can be provided if reserved at least 24 hours prior to the show, and you can share stories in Arabic, English, or French.

When: Wednesday at 8:30 PM – 10 PM

4. Aaliya’s Book Club



What: This amazing book club happens every two weeks and is a free, fun, and stimulating activity to get into. This week, the club will be discussing The Sandcastle Girls by Chris Bohjalian, but you can sit in on the discussion even if you haven’t read it. Attendees are also encouraged to bring in their own texts and books they’d like to discuss so they can be added to the calendar.

When: Tuesday at 7:30 PM – 9 PM
