Complex, aromatic Moroccan cuisine– a Makan favorite– is back this week.

Enjoy a selection of traditional Moroccan dishes, all new to Makan, at this week’s dinner event. After a soup, two vegetable starters, and chicken-stuffed Moroccan cigars, the main course of beef tagine features raisins, onions, almonds, and ras al hanout, the traditional North African spice mix.

Moroccan cauliflower zaalouk with tomato

Chicken vermicelli rolls with harissa and green olive
– Denjal ma’li bel chermoula dyal hout
Fried aubergines with chermoula sauce
– Shalada dyal felfela mechwiya
Traditional salad with tomatoes, grilled peppers, and onions with black olive, parsley and vinegar dressing
– Tagine merouziya
Beef tagine with raisins, onions, and almond cooked with saffron and honey and ras al hanout spice
– Couscous with chickpeas and seven vegetables
– Moroccan Jewish orange and almond cake
