6 Of The Juiciest Steaks In Lebanon

Fancy a steak? Now that I think about it, I do.

Many restaurants offer steak on their menu, but it’s not always their specialty or perhaps the quality is average, so you almost always leave disappointed (and still craving steak!). I’m not a meat “carnnoisseur”, but I can tell the difference between a good steak and a great one.

Check out this list of where to get a fantastic steak in Lebanon, and trust me, you will want to sink your teeth into these beauties after you’re done reading.

1. Le Relais de l’Entrecote

Steak. Frites. That’s what they do. And they do it oh so well.

I think it goes without saying that Le Relais de l’Entrecote has withstood the test of time around the world. Over 50 years later, and this charming restaurant is still the go-to steak place in Lebanon and remains a favourite to many devoted steak aficionados. For $35, you get bread and butter and an iceberg salad with mustard dressing, followed by a plate of steak drowning in that infamously delicious secret sauce, accompanied by a generous portion of crunchy fries. Oh, and you get a refill! This place is definitely a winner in my book!

2. Couqley

Couqley is well-known for its classic Steak Frites dish: tender steak submerged in a rich and creamy sauce, and served with a generous portion of perfectly crunchy French fries. This definitely deserves a spot on this list, and many other lists for that matter – hint: it starts with “pain” and ends with “perdu”.

3. Blackrock Steak Lounge

Blackrock Steak Lounge isn’t a popular choice for a first date, given that you end up smelling like a grill afterwards, but then again it makes for a pretty cool experience since you get to cook your own meat! This steakhouse’s high-end meat is served raw on a hot “rock”, accompanied by your choice of two sides and sauce. All you have to do is cook it to your liking, and be sure to not forget it on the rock! My choice is the Argentinian Black Angus tenderloin paired with sautéed mushrooms and fries, served with a creamy mushroom sauce (which I find is too small a portion!), because simply put: I love mushrooms.

4. The Gathering

The Gathering offers grills as well as French and Italian cuisine, so it caters to a range of different palates. The atmosphere is lovely and the picturesque courtyard offers the perfect setting for a first (or second or 100th…) date. Their juicy Black Angus tenderloin is enough of a justification for a visit.

5. The Beazbee

I’ve ordered the Black Angus Tenderloin at The Beazbee countless times, and it never disappoints. The succulent and juicy steak is accompanied with baked potato wedges, veggies, and a black-pepper sauce that is to die for!
