Districts could be described as an architectural exercise in restraint. It eschews the aggressive notion of towers and blocks, seeking instead to be in harmony with the area’s residential heritage. Districts penthouses and low-rise buildings, allied with genuine breathing spaces and actual cultural landmarks, aim to represent a refreshing departure from today’s formulaic development projects. It is modern architecture, but as it used to be done.
