L’Orient-Le Jour

L’Orient-Le Jour is an independent daily newspaper, born September 1, 1970 through the merger of two newspapers The East (based in Beirut in 1923 by Gabriel Khabbaz and Georges Naccache) and Day (founded in 1935 by Michel Chiha ). It opened its columns to the most prestigious thinkers, columnists, writers and journalists of modern Lebanon. Published by the Press and Editions SAL standard of the Francophonie, L’Orient-Le Jour ranks 3rd among the Lebanese newspapers in any language, in terms of broadcast and commercial advertising.
