The balance between stable and unstable states: physical and psychological, social and personal. In their latest production, Katarzyna Gdaniec and Marco Cantalupo explore the dynamic process that erupts
when stability is disturbed. Stability, worshiped in our time and marketed
by our society, is our aspiration despite its fleeting nature; only to be brought down, inescapably, to the perilous and creative expansion of instability. Caught between precarious stability and creative instability, this production follows in the choreographic investigations distinctive of Compagnie Linga’s work.
Katarzyna Gdaniec and Marco Cantalupo, associated artists of the Théâtre de l'Octogone of Pully/ Lausanne (CH) where they nave been in residence since 1993, have created a space dedicated to choreographic research. The company’s choreographic process has progressively given rise to a vocabulary in tune with political and social issues: exploring through dance social
phenomena. Linga has the support of the City of Pully, the Vaud Canton and
Pro Helvetia-Swiss Foundation for Culture and is invited to the most important events on the international scene.
