The First Lady
The first Jazz night starts with the first lady of song, Ella Fitzgerald. The virtuosity of this Jazz Legend will be portrayed in her live performance video recorded at Montreux Jazz Festival, followed by a playlist of her major and other hits from the Great American Songbook.
The playlist will also include many vocal and instrumental recordings of other artists spanning over record labels such as Blue Note, Verve, Decca and Columbia. Names like Billie Holiday, Sarah Vaughan, Dina Washington, Louis Armstrong, Carmen Mc Rae, Nat King Cole, Nina Simone and many other classic jazz icons.
