Noche Del Tango Negro

Music Hall in collaboration with the Beirut International Tango Festival, presents ‘Noche Del Tango Negro’, a live Argentinian tango concert and show. The night will feature some of the most renowned artists on the international tango scene, from musicians to dance maestros.

Orchestra:
Silencio Orchesta Tipica
Silencio is a group of internationally recognized musicians, coming together to form one of the most renowned Argentinian tango orchestras on the international scene. The group is lead by Roger Helou, an Argentinian pianist of Lebanese origins, and have recently released their third album ‘Silencio en las Almas’, as a follow up to their successful ‘Silencio Live in Berlin’. The orchestra focuses its work on newly arranged Tango music, while adapting the best of traditional Tango sounds.

Maestros:
Miguel-Angel Zotto & Daiana Guspero – Argentina
From Buenos Aires, Miguel-Angel comes from a purely “tanguera” family with popular roots. He grew up listening to tangos with his grandfather, who was a dancer, and with his father who was also a dancer and an actor. Miguel-Angel started dancing tango at the age of 17. He shot to fame in 1985 as the lead and the tango instructor in the show ‘Jazmines’ by Ana Maria Steckelman, performing at ‘Michelangelo’, Teatro Municipal General San Martin and toured in Venezuela. Miguel-Angel traveled the USA, Canada, Venezuela, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, France and Japan with Milena Plebs in 1986 as part of the Broadway hit ‘Tango Argentino’ and performed in the films ‘Tango Bayle Nuestro’, ‘Flop’, ‘Oratori Carlos Gardel’.

Rodrigo Rufino & Gisela Passi – Argentina
Rodrigo Rufino & Gisela Passi are a young couple of tango dancers and teachers. Together they have developed a dance style that they teach in a dynamic and engaging way. They have performed and taught courses in France, Spain, Germany, Poland, Ukraine and the United States.

Mazen Kiwan & Cecilia Piccinni – Lebanon, Argentina
Mazen Kiwan comes from a background as a folk and contemporary dancer in his native Lebanon. In Paris in 1998, he received a state diploma as a teacher in contemporary dance. Since 1999, he has been teaching, performing and participating in international tango festivals around the world, including the United States, Paris, Norway, Hungary, Greece, Italy and Russia.
He has developed a structured and precise approach to his teaching methods, concentrating on communication and harmony, interpretation of music, rhythm and dynamics.
