Lebanese Parliament

The Lebanese Parliament is a governing body in Lebanon that goes by many names. It is known as the Parliament of Lebanon, the Assemblee nationale, or the Majlis an Nuwwab, meaning, Chamber of Deputies.

The Lebanese Parliament is the governing body in Lebanon that functions as the legislature for the country. The Parliament itself is elected into a term of five years through a number of constituencies that are considered multi-member.

It is equally important that the Lebanese Parliament is apportioned among both the Muslim and Christian denominations, as in Lebanon, there is no division of Church and State at all.
