    Andreane Williams

Andreane moved to Lebanon in 2009 after graduating in journalism and communication from the University of Québec in Montréal. In the last six years, she has had the chance to write for major international media outlets such as Al Jazeera English, Deutsche Welle, La Presse, and ELLE Magazine.

Two years ago, her passion for journalism brought her to Moscow and Grozny, where she produced a series of articles about freedom of press and Russian female journalists, Chechen surgeon Khassan Baiev and the origins of the Tsarnaev brothers, who were involved in the Boston Marathon bombings. Those articles were published in La Presse, Eurasianet.org, L’actualité, La Gazette des femmes and on TV5 Monde. I also had the chance to cover the 2014S.Pellegrino Cooking Cup in Venice for ELLE Oriental.

She is now currently based in Beirut.
