On Friday, eight people were killed, including five children, in a rocket attack on the eastern Bekaa town of Arsal.
Residents of Arsal accused Hezbollah of firing the rockets, according to the Daily Star newspaper, while the Lebanese Army said the rockets were fired from Syria.
The attack came only a day after a suicide bomb killed five people in the town of Hermel.
On Thursday, a car bomb killed four people and injured 42 others in Hermel.
According to the Daily Star newspaper, the blast occurred during the morning rush hour near the town’s government building. Al Nusra Front in Lebanon later claimed responsibility for the attack on Twitter.
On Thursday, the Special Tribunal for Lebanon, the international trial to prosecute individuals behind the February 14, 2005 assassination of former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri, began in the Hague.
Mustafa Badreddine, Salim Ayyash, Assad Sabra and Hussein Oneissi, all identified as members of Hezbollah, are being tried in absentia.

The three-year-old girl was transferred to the hospital in Tripoli after suffering from severe injuries to her face and body. According to Al-Jadeed TV, her stepfather had beaten her.

Lebanese comedian and actress Amalia Abi Saleh passed away today Friday at around 3:00 a.m. She was 68-years-old. In June of 2013, Abi Saleh sparked national controversy after she was rejected from receiving medical care because she was uninsured.
