5 Ways To Get In Shape In Groups

Some people prefer working out alone, but the majority get a great boost of motivation by having a workout buddy, and even better – a workout group. Here are some fun workouts you can do in a group in Beirut that not everyone knows about. 

Pole Dancing

Athletes Anonymous offers pole dancing classes for all levels, the classes are given in a professional and consistent fashion.

Running in Groups

Nike+ Beirut has organized a group of runners who meet up at the Nike store in Beirut Souks to run consistently on Tuesdays and Thursdays. You can track their workouts and community activities on their Facebook group, Nike+ Beirut.

Beirut Marathon Training Group offers training for the Beirut Marathon which takes place in November. The training starts in June to get in shape in time for the Beirut Marathon, and is done with mid-sized groups and coaches. 

Boxing 

Team Shogun is known for both offering classes to beginners and serving as a practice space for professionals. Boxing has become a more popular workout recently, it is high intensity and self defense wrapped into one. Shogun also offers Kick-boxing and Muai Thai. 

Ballet for Adults and Jazz/Hip Hop 

Caracalla Dance Studio offers these classes for adults through teachers who are well trained and fun. This is perfect for everyone who thinks they missed their opportunity to learn these dances in school.

Floor-Barre

Floor Barre uses basic ballet exercises to strengthen the body and lengthens the muscles. It also allows the trainees to enhance their precision and posture, giving a toning workout.
