7 Things That Happen When You Move In With Your Partner

Moving in with your partner can be one of the best things you’ll ever do in your relationship! You’ll learn a lot about one another, and sometimes, it’ll be more than you want to know. Here’s a heads up from someone who has tried it.

Her stuff will take over your apartment

You will be shocked by the amount of toiletries, creams, shampoos, make-up, and stuff your girl has, and you’ll have to accept the fact that all her stuff will occupy most of the bathroom space.

His clothes will become yours

You will take advantage of the fact that your boyfriend’s clothes and comfy hoodies are now available to you all the time. And most importantly, your sock supply will double because guys have a whole lot of socks!

You will argue

The most recurring argument will be one about what you are going to have for dinner: one of you will always say, “I don’t mind, whatever you want.” The second most dangerous argument will involve the toilet seat.

About date nights

Your date nights will often turn into staying in, ordering food, and binge watching series. Remember to never ever break this golden relationship rule: if you watch a TV show together, you can’t watch an episode alone.

Deciding who has to do what

You’ll probably have more than one fight regarding who has to the chores. And yeah, you’ll definitely be hearing a lot more of “it’s your turn to switch the disjoncteur”, or “yalla take out the zbeleh hayete”.

Discovering each other’s true self

You realize the full extent of each other’s messiness and obsessions. First, you’ll both try to break some annoying habits to make living together easier, but with time you’ll learn it’s better to let go of these details.

Sleeping together

You thought that sharing your bed was all about cuddling, but the harsh truth will hit you when your other half starts snoring and taking up the bed along with the covers. But the minute they’re gone for a few days, you will realize how much you love sleeping and living with them.
