1. Sporting Club

The beach is renowned for its authentic Lebanese vibe, as well as for its unmatched simplicity that coincides with an equally unmatched sense of luxury. It’s nothing like the fancy beach resorts that Lebanon has so much of, it’s simple, comfortable, and unmistakably Lebanese.

3. Pool D’etat

Based on the top of Hamra Urban Gardens is this Beirut rooftop hideout that is urban and also affordable. Pool D’etat is the sister bar of our favourite Gemmayze rooftop, Coop D’etat, with frequent pool parties and nights of fun. Pool D’etat has a full bar to enjoy and a delicious menu to indulge in, in case the heat gets you a little peckish.

The Riviera pool is one that our parents will remember, and a symbol of Beirut’s golden age. Decades later and Riviera still maintains the same hip vibe with a splash of elegance. From the older men laying back with a cocktail, to the coconut oil covered women people-watching, kick back and relax while soaking up the Mediterranean sun.

7. Long Beach

Though in dire need of some TLC, Long Beach is a great option for those looking for some peace and quiet at one of Beirut’s less lively resorts. Whether the pressure at work is mounting, or you just need a little escape while staying close to home, Long Beach is the ideal spot for you.

8. Ramlet el Bayda

Though not a pool, Ramlet el Bayda is Beirut’s tourist hotspot, thanks to our beloved pigeon rocks that symbolise our little country. The beauty of this open beach has led to it almost being snatched from the public, but so far, our resilience is strong. So, make the most of this public beach while you still can, play some badminton and bring the whole family along for a day under the sun.
