The Suicide Prevention Hotline In Lebanon Is Active, Spread The Word
1564. Memorize this phone number and be sure to pass it on to everyone around – you could be saving a life!
Under the campaign slogan, “Talking Saves Lives”, the NGO Embrace has established the Embrace LifeLine, Lebanon’s first mental health crisis and suicide prevention hotline.
This is a very important first step in combating the stigma around mental health issues in Lebanon, and starting an honest and open conversation that will hopefully not only save many lives, but also improve the quality of life for those struggling.
The volunteer operators undergo rigorous specialized active listening and suicide risk assessment training. Individuals interested in serving as volunteer helpline operators can email info@embracefund.org – they are looking for dedicated individuals willing to commit for a year at minimum.
