Home to many ancient monuments, unreal landscapes and scenic rivers, lakes and springs, here they are:
1. Jezzine
This village is known for its waterfalls, the cave of Fakhreddine II, the old souks, and the craftsmanship of knives.
2. Jarjouaa
This village is quite the tourist destination in summer. People who are looking to flee from the heat, and rush to a calm and tranquil environment frequent Jarjouaa.
3. Tebnine
Tebnine’s famous for its castle, its grassland full of majestic trees, and, of course, the popular Friday market which always attracts a large number of visitors.
4. Kfar Houna
This village is hugged by mountain on all sides, and is rich with springs and lakes.
5. Qana
Legends say that Jesus Christ performed his first miracle in the village of Qana, that holds many ruins.
6. Al Rihane
From the name, you can tell that this Southern Lebanese village is known for the abundance of basil herbs found in it, in addition to many historic caves.
7. Bkassine
This village is surrounded with pine forests from all sides, making it quite the sight for sore eyes.
8. Marjayoun
Marjayoun overlooks the Beaufort castle, Amel Mountain, and the Litani River.
9. Maghdouche
Maghdouche’s people are well-known for planting lemon and grape trees, in addition to making rosewater.
10. Ain Ebel
This village is considered historic because of the many important ruins it holds.
