The president of the United States, Donald Trump, visited Beirut yesterday.
Seemingly more inflated and bloated than the usual, the President of the Free World was positioned on a tank with a turret for a nose.
Trump was shown around the city, touring Raouche and Manara – we hope he wore sunscreen because it was a sunny day for orange individuals.
All jokes aside, inflatable Trump is an art installation entitled MonuMental (2018) by the one and only Saint Hoax.
The artist has more than 700K followers on Instagram and tackles everything pop culture related in a “poplitically incorrect manner”.
But what is the connection between Trump and a tank? That is clearly a rhetorical question, sis. We can’t help but admire Saint Hoax’ edgy sarcasm, which is always on point and never disappoints.
In collaboration with Plastik’s post-internet experiential art gallery, Saint Hoax is having a show for the general public on October 11 in “The Egg”, a 1960s cinema and one of Beirut’s resilient remnants from the Civil War. Be there!
