Marsa has taken it upon itself to bridge the gap between society and medicine in regards to psychosexual health.
Launched in March 2011, the center provides professional healthcare services to sexually active individuals in Lebanon, regardless of their gender, age, and sexual orientation, with a focus on youth and underprivileged populations.
Recently, and in collaboration with the Faculty of Medicine at University of Saint-Joseph (USJ), Marsa has organized the “Up-Scaling Sexual Health and Harm Reduction Services For Better Patient Care in Lebanon” event.
The workshop is the first of its kind, aiming to provide comprehensive sexual health and harm reduction information tailored to healthcare providers, including doctors, nurses, midwives, psychotherapists, and social workers.
Running from October 31st till November 3rd, 2018, the purpose of this extensive four day workshop is to provide essential unbiased scientific information to improve the knowledge and skills of healthcare providers pertaining to sexual health and harm reduction, and foster a more inclusive and non-judgmental environment for patient care in Lebanon.
