After launching his first original portrait series, titled “3am khalle l lira terja3 tehki”, artist and architecture student Ibrahim Sultani has returned with another unique project.
Sultani’s art was first recognized for his distinctive use of money as canvas. Having spent his childhood collecting bills and coins, he decided to put his stacks and stamps to artistic use.

In an effort to redeem the value of the Lebanese currency, Sultani gave it a face, and a notable one indeed.

With Fairuz on a 1,000 L.L, Melhem Baraket on a 5,000 L.L, and Wadih El Safi on a 10,000 L.L, his creativity does not end here.
In an interview with Annahar back in July, Sultani revealed that he has an idea of “making a huge canvas made of 250 and 500 L.L coins and drawing a huge portrait on it.”
And so he did.
His latest work is a portrait of Melhem Barakat drawn on sixty-eight 250 L.L coins.

Aside from the positive recognition Sultani has received on social media and from media outlets, his work is also being showcased by the prominent figures he has painted.
