1. The heaters that never (ever) work

It could be snowing outside and the heaters will still be ice cold, yet somehow, the teachers lounge will be warm and cozy. It’s almost like they want to freeze us into focusing.

2. The not-so-funny teacher

Also happens to be the most talkative one. They always make the most cringe-worthy jokes and think they’re a stand-up comedian. Meanwhile, the class is forced to laugh because no one feels like failing their class again, so just practice your best fake laugh.

3. The hidden agenda

The never-ending debate sessions with teachers who want to convince you that gays are evil or that abortion is wrong. Hard pass on the convo and reporting you ASAP.

4. The career counselors

They either convince you not to venture into a liberal arts degree or tell you that environmental studies are a hoax. It’s also very possible that you don’t even have active career counselors, you only see them at official school events.

5. The canteen/cafeteria food

This is a really heartbreaking one. The school cafeteria is either stocked with complete junk or totally unsatisfying healthy food. There is no in-between, but hey, at least we still have our man2oushes and soggy French fries.
