A new set of 230 emojis (released just yesterday) includes one of the most popular foods in the Middle East and North Africa: FALAFEL!



Though it looks a little like a baked potato, but A for effort!



Matte has also been granted an emoji, so now you have a visual to send to your matte loving friends or teta.

Fun Fact:

If you want to propose an emoji you have to send a proposal to Unicode, the company that manages and approves emojis. The proposal should consist of FORTY PAGES, almost like a research paper, and should indicate that an emoji (if approved) would be well used, is visually distinct, and is not similar to something already available.
