This Beautiful Video About The Revolution Will Give You Goosebumps

The most beautiful video has been circulating on social media for the past few days, starring Lebanese actors Abdo Chahine, Nathaly Flayha, amd Roy Yazbeck.

Created and directed by Elio Chayeb, the video is a masterpiece – to say the least.

In short, the story is as such: Two siblings attempt to awaken their father who has been in a coma for 30 years, a symbolism of Lebanon. Below is a loose translation of the dialogue between them:

“Aren’t you tired? He’s never going to wake up.”

“If you’re so sure, why are you visiting him? We can’t lose hope. Come here, try to speak to him.”

“I’m tired of talking to him.

[Addressing the father]: Did you hear me? I’m tired of talking to you. Aren’t you bored of being in a coma? I don’t want to lose hope, but give me something to hold onto. Open your eyes. You’ve been in a coma for 30 years. Wake up already.”

Here, the father suddenly suffers a stroke, and a medical team interferes to bring him back to life with defibrillators. With every counter-shock delivered to his heart, the video cuts to a scene from the revolution.

Yup, goosebumps. Watch it and let us know what you think!
