Happening Now: Protestors Gather In Front Of TVA Building
For the second day in a row, protests are happening in front of the Finance Ministry’s TVA building in Adlieh, Beirut.
Dozens of protestors gathered outside the building early in the morning, blocking all entrances and preventing employees from entering.
Riot police and the Lebanese Army later arrived, pushing protesters away from the entrances, which caused clashes between the two parties.
Despite rising tensions, protestors explained that they will continue to sit in front of the building to protest against the government’s fiscal policies, demanding “a clean name to assume the role of Prime Minister and work for the benefit of Lebanon.”
