World leaders, chief executives, thinkers, celebrities, and Gebran Bassil are gathering in Davos, Switzerland for the World Economic Forum’s annual meeting this week.
Among the speakers, the minister in our current caretaker government Gebran Bassil who will be speaking on a panel titled “
The Return of Arab Unrest“. The WEF describes the panel as being a discussion on the new awakening and how it can be translated into a practical roadmap for positive change.
This comes just as the ongoing protests in Lebanon take a violent turn as frustration of political stagnation and inaction began to rise, and feelings of the political elite (MP Gebran Bassil being one of them) ignoring calls for the ruling class to relinquish power and to form an independent government to tackle the worsening crisis.
